Alice Collett

Professor ALICE COLLETT’s research specialism is women in early India, especially early Indian Buddhism. Over her career, she published  many journal articles, books and book chapters on the subject. Her books include Women in Early Indian Buddhism: Comparative Textual Studies, Lives of Early Buddhist Nuns: Biographies as History, and Translating Buddhism: Historical and Contextual Perspectives . She has worked at several universities across the globe, in teaching, research and management roles.
